ZONTA  CLUB OF EVANSTON meets regularly once a month, conducting a board meeting followed by a dinner with the members.  Our motivation is furthering the empowerment of  women in the professional fields.

The members of the Evanston Chapter of Zonta International are dedicated to upholding the principals of the Organization, and providing scholarships and financial assistance to young women who are emerging as tche future professionals of our generation.

Zonta International is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy.

Zonta International supports the effortsof the United Nations and its Member States to advance the status of women through the adoption and fulfillment of international conventions and treaties.

The prime tenets of the international organization are:

  • improve the legal, political, economic, health, educational and professional status of women through service and advocacy.
  • work for the advancement of understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of executives in business and the professions
  • promote justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedom
  • unite internationally to foster high ethical standards, implement service programs and provide mutual support and fellowship for members who serve their communities, their nations and the world.

Since 1923, Zonta has provided more than US$9,800 million to projects benefiting over 2 million women representing 34 countries.
